Microsoft Runs Anti-Linux Campaign

Microsoft Runs Anti-Linux Campaign

If Microsoft admitting it faced competition such as Linux and Apple in its Annual Form 10-k isn’t proof enough that the software giant is starting to get scared of Linux, check this out.

tuxAccording to a forum post by an alleged Best Buy employee, Microsoft is launching an anti-Linux campaign, using training materials that give false information about Linux as well as offering $10 copies of Windows 7 to employees that participate in the program. Screenshots of the campaign make it clear that what I have just said is true. As you can see in these screenshots, Microsoft points out “flaws” in Linux which most of us no aren’t true. Now it is certain that Microsoft is getting scared, and recognizing the growing number of Linux users as a threat to their business.

In my opinion, Microsoft is honestly making themselves look less professional and immature due to the fact that they are using training programs and campaigns to somewhat brainwash people into believing false and harsh statements about Linux. What is the Linux community doing about this? Continuing to provide a stable and secure operating system while Microsoft wastes the time that they could working on their buggy and monopolized operating system verbally abusing the Linux community. Both the Microsoft Corporation and Best Buy have lost my respect entirely.
